Bluff Springs, New Mexico, southwest United States
The Bluff Springs site features a waterfall located in the Sacramento
Mountains east and south of Alamogordo, New Mexico--in the Lincoln National
Forest. The Springs are near the head of the Rio Penasco River. Over time,
the water here has worn a scenic waterfall as it flows over the bluff.
The Rio Penasco flows generally southeast, much of its journey through
the Lincoln National Forest, until it finally join the Pecos River.
