Directions to Carlisle and Steeple Rock, New Mexico
A trip to the Carlisle area in New Mexico starts in Duncan, Arizona.
On Arizona Route 70, turn right on the first road beyond milepost 380.
Shortly a sign warns that the road is "unimproved", and that Carlisle is
13 miles east. The road passes from Arizona into New Mexico.
At about the six-mile mark there's a fine view of Steeple Rock rising
6,259 feet--resembling, somewhat, a church steeple.
