This panorama is a view from the north side of NM 70. From the
former High Lonesome site one can look west to the Pecos River
Valley. It's an example of the high plains of New Mexico. The place name
High Lonesome is found in 14 of New Mexico's 33 counties. But
this particular place, 20 miles northeast of Roswell, is truly high
and lonesome.
