SAN MIGUEL CHURCH (Saint Michael) in Santa Fe, New Mexico, southwest United states, was erected by Don Juan de Onate in 1608, and is the oldest place of worship in the United States. The old mission bell, just inside the doorway, is the largest and second oldest in North America.

SAN ILDEFONSO (Saint Alfonso), 18 miles north of Santa Fe, New Mexico, southwest US, near the Black Mesa. In 1920, old paintings on elk and buffalo skins helped furnish the Church.
